Duluth, GA —January 14, 2013

Worch Memorial Public Library has gone live on Evergreen as part of the Consortium of Ohio Libraries (COOL). They are the sixth of nine founding members of the new state wide program bringing 37,000 bibliographic items and almost 9,000 new patrons to the consortium. The final libraries are expected to be live by the summer of 2013. For more information, the COOL combined catalog can be viewed online at http://www.cool-cat.org/.

Equinox Software oversaw data migration and will continue to provide advanced technical support. OHIONET will partner with Equinox to provide hosting and primary system administration. The COOL project received initial funding from the local libraries and an LSTA grant from the State Library of Ohio.

Equinox President, Brad LaJeunesse, says, “We are pleased to begin 2013 by welcoming another great library to the COOL Consortium. As more libraries go live, patrons and staff members are really going to notice the huge benefits of resource sharing and having a combined catalog.”
