SC Lends Continues to Grow Adding More Libraries Live on Evergreen

November 12 , 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Duluth, GA — November 12, 2012

The South Carolina SC Lends consortium continues to grow with Clarendon, Lancaster, and Lee County public libraries now live on Evergreen. Equinox Software oversaw data migration and will continue to provide hosting and technical support for all the SC Lends libraries.

The online catalog for the consortium can be found at http://sclends.lib.sc.us. In total, over 67,000 patrons and almost 205,000 bibliographic items were migrated with these libraries on to the combined catalog.

According to Brad LaJeunesse, Equinox President, "As a native of South Carolina, I’m especially proud to witness the growth of the SC LENDS group. The new member libraries have been very enthusiastic and could see the benefits of the combined catalog almost immediately."

Charlotte Johnston, Director of Clarendon County Library, says, "On our first day live with Evergreen, we opened a holds list with 59 requests for items from our main library and 24 items from our book mobile. The staff was quite excited knowing that our little library has plenty to offer as a member of SC Lends."
