Lebanon Schools and Douglas-North Canaan Library Go Live on Evergreen

The Lebanon School Libraries and Douglas-North Canaan Library have gone live with Evergreen open source ILS as the latest BibliOak Libraries. BibliOak is the consortium of development partner libraries for Bibliomation. Equinox Software assisted with the migrations and continues to provide ongoing technical support for all the Bibliomation development partner libraries.
Bibliomation has started their Evergreen transition with a core group of development partner libraries. Beacon Falls Public Library and Douglas Library of Hebron were the first to go live in March of 2010. There are three more development partner libraries remaining before the rest of the consortium will go live during 2011.
Brad LaJeunesse, Equinox CEO, says, "Bibliomation has really embraced Evergreen and been very supportive in the open source community. We are looking forward to continuing to work with them to bring the final development partners and the rest of the consortium live."
According to Amy Terlaga, Assistant Director, User Services, "Now that the Lebanon Schools are live on Evergreen, we can really see how well Evergreen can adapt for K-12 schools' individual needs. We are collaborating with four other Evergreen sites to develop some new features specific to schools and academic libraries. The Douglas Library, North Canaan is our seventh development partner library to go live on Evergreen. We have just three more libraries to go before we bring our development partner project to a successful conclusion."
